I'm interested in the various relationships established throughout existence, primarily between Nature and The Self. By Nature I mean everything: fauna, flora, the cosmos, the unknown and how we all work together...more than how we don't, actually. I feel there has been enough focus on negative relationships, though it is a part of our reality, which I understand we cannot deny nor avoid (for too long). My aim is not really to deny the existence of malice, corruption, and angst, but to confirm that it should be extinguished through directing my energy towards something else. I believe in progress. By the Self I mean the many perspective within these relationships- from multiple sides of any idea, argument, being, or silence occurring around us.
I'm also interested in looking back on the ideas humanity has concocted throughout history to sustain its sanity (and, if we need such sanity all at)- religions, bizarre theories, and what we've selected as valuable or not, and why they were agreed upon collectively and why some were rejected. I've noticed that I tend to side with the underdog most of the time here because it seems to me like a lot of beneficial ideas were/are not getting their due practice. So, you will see allusions to alternative history, conspiracy theories, and libertarianism- though, in a subtle fashion.
Finally, if I had to choose a style in which I work with the most, I'd probably just say that there are mostly three that I stick with: Surrealism, Abstract-Expressionism, and Fauvism. I blend these three often and sometimes one serves as a better platform than the other two but these three really are the ones that I believe actually choose ME.
